Wellington Road, Brighton

This project involved the replacement of an existing bungalow on a complex sloping site with a new four-storey development of five apartments.

 

The building form is carefully tiered to reduce the impact on the local area including the Grade II* St Josephs Church which is opposite the site. This involved expanding the lower ground floor to provide a full floor below street level allowing the new building to match the height of the existing neighbouring houses.
