A private residential project to remodel a fragmented 1930’s bungalow. The solution was to create a side extension which allowed modern family spaces to be zoned across the broad floor plan. In turn, each space sits side by side with direct connections to the generous garden.

 

We have used the pitched roof form of the extension, something dictated by local planning policy, to provide a dramatic open-vaulted ceiling with a series of roof lights to allow light to flood into the new space.
